AHA BLS Instructor 

Pre-Requisites:

Must have a current (not expired) BLS Provider card and successful completion of the BLS Essentials online AHA course (available as an add-on for purchase below).

You are REQUIRED to have the current 2025 BLS Instructor Manual (purchased separately) for this course before, during, and after class. You can purchase the printed version (allow enough time for shipping to your location) or the eBook version:


Course Description: 

The American Heart Association BLS Instructor Course certifies the participant to teach the BLS for Healthcare Providers (BLS) Course, renewal course, and BLS Skill Sessions. Also, instructors may teach all the AHA Heartsaver programs including: adult CPR, child CPR, infant CPR, AED use, first aid, pediatric CPR/first aid, and bloodborne pathogens. BLS Instructor card is valid for two (2) years.

The classroom portion covers American Heart Association procedures, course guidelines and agendas, instructor challenges, classroom set-up, learning theory, administrative support, and instructor-candidate teaching demonstrations.
